Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Pours a golden yellow color with big off white head. Aromas of bananas, yeast, malt. Flavor is fruity with hints of yeast and spice. Medium body with a creamy texture and lively carbonation. This is one of my favorite tripels. Excellent!

Nice opalescent golden body with a fantastic stable and foamy white head. Very intensive aroma of the style with tons of malt, coriander, orange peel, fruity esters, liqueric alcohol. Very alluring! And the flavor....Oily texture with a smooth mouthfeel, malt at the start. After a second the flavor-bomb exploses. Coriander, fine fruity sourish-tart taste, orange peel, coriander and hop...Well hidden alcohol numbling my palate and warming me up. Absolutely tripel style, i will search the beer anywhere!

Ah, yes, I will finish off tonight's Clemson beer fest (attendance = 1 [me]) with a Belgian Tripel. This one pours a nice golden color with a big white head. The head lingers for a while before finally dissipating into a thin layer on top of the beer. Strong aroma of fruits, most notably peaches, and yeasts, spices, and a touch of alcohol. Full body with lots of carbonation, the flavor is very fruity and yeasty with a strong alcohol presence. The finish is very sweet and spicy with a wonderful warmth from the alcohol. This is another magnificent brew from Belgium.

750 ml. big ’ole brown Belgian bottle. Corked and caged. No freshness date seen, either on bottle or cork. Greasy feeling composite cork. Loud pop forcefully ejected the cork into my hand. Good thing I was ready for it. It has a very high level of carbonation, almost like a dry champagne. It poured out a deep golden yellow color, with a humongous white head. The head was loose and frothy, not tight like some triples. Aromas are of sweet Timothy hay, slight caramel cream aromas, and some yeasty bread. No hops aromas, but it has a very slight hops bite in the middle of the flavors. Flavors are of light caramels, some slight candi sugars, sweet pilsener malts, and of course, the yeast. Gentle vanilla flavors as well. Not much in the way of phenols, cloves or bubblegum. Gentle fruitiness to it, not overpowering at all. Finishes rather in the middle, neither sweet nor dry. Medium mouthfeel, coats the tongue for a brief second, then disappears. No alcohol aromas or flavors. A really decent triple, one of the best I’ve had. If it were a little less expensive, this would make for a very good everyday beer.

Thick firm head, golden orange body, slightly cloudy. Peach(baked), citrus, and sweet malt nose. Very fruity, yet hint of malt character. Light alcohol presence. Very nice finish.
