Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Appealing aroma of fruits, spices and yeast. Hazy orange pour with a thin white head. Very good flavor of thick malt with fruits, spices and yeast, the finish is sweet. The body is medium with a creamy, slightly powdery texture and soft carbonation. Excellent, true to the Gouden Carolus standard.

(B.B. 11/05) Light brown, slightly yellow colored. Big white head. Interesting aroma: orange, pineapple, mild spices, alcohol, honey and sweetness, complex aroma. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is also rich: fruits, pineapple, spices, yeast, good hoppy tones, aftertaste has toffee, strong chocolate and medium alcohol.

330ml brown bottle. Gold in colour, huge white head. Aroma is sweet with caramel and orange notes, also some spice. Sweet malt flavour with orange, lemon and honey. Spicy yeast and citrus come out in the dry finish. Medium body, crisp tingly carbonation. Het Anker’s beers continue to impress me.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Cloudy golden orange with rocky off white head. Good aroma of orangey hop, spice, honey, vanilla. Creamy mouthfel with lingering hop finish, alcohol warmth. Very good indeed.

Hazy dull yellow with white head. Pleasant sweet and tart, musty aroma with hard candy, yeast, banana, some spiciness. Sharp in flavor with a balancing alcohol note. Very interesting flavors. Slightly floral, a bit earthy, somewhat herbal, with citrus highlights. Spritzy mouthfeel. Fast, spicy finish.

11,2 oz bottle. Served in a Delirium Tremens tulip glass. Aroma of pale malts and saaz hops. Bright golden beer with a thick creamy white head and sheets of lacing. Flavor is sweet pale malts and booze to start, fading to a hoppy presence with a mildly bitter finish. I love triples. Smooth, sweet, alcoholic and hoppy. Fruity and peppery, and a strong yeastiness. This one looks good and tastes good. A world class beer from a brewery that deserves its high reputation.
