Snow white, rocky and thick head that had plenty of ability to cling to the class. Clear, light golden hue with high carbonation - lots of tiny bubbles. Aroma reminds me of spicy, clovey, sweet and earthy tones, light hoppiness.
Smooth but sharpness on the cheeks from the high carbo - warming and light, mildly bitter finish. Not my favorite but a very nice beer tarheels86 (752), Washington DC, USA

Pours a translucent light blonde with quite possibly the most enormous head I have ever seen on a beer- huge! Great sticky lacing. Aromas of bitter orange, lemon zest, pineapple, apricot- amazing. Taste is very nice: dried fruits, sugar, orange juice, spicy hops, and Belgian yeast. Slight acidic finish. At 9% this is truly a world class malt and hops balancing act. Very good. kragelund (50), , Denmark

Aroma and flavor have the perfect amount of hops, wheat, licorice, alcohol and sweetness. A little rougher around the edges than a Chimay Cinq Cents, but a really nice tasty tripel that I enjoyed a lot. Not too sweet like a lot of the newer, non-traditional tripels. You should taste a little alcohol...even though it’s well hidden, it’s good to know it’s there. PhillyBeer2112 (2087), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 7, 2006 Light delicate aroma, notes of banana, pineapple, flowers (maybe roses or violets), a touch of lemon citrus, and bread dough. A light hazy yellow that almost wants to glow orange, and a huge tight creamy head that is going nowhere. A light coriander spice nose shows up as some of the fruitiness subsides. Big sweet up front, strangely clean, with a tartness that feels like alot of alcohol whopping the sides of your tongue. Fair amount of hops in the finish, but they are quickly overwhelmed by a lingering fuselly alcohol finish. Let this warm for the fruit esters to really come through, particularly banana. Feels a little slick, lacking the airy fluffiness in the better tripels. ravidesai (915), Bombay, India

straw gold colour, white bubbly head that left some dense lacing.
a good bit hoppier than most tripels but still balanced.
has some surprising wit like spice tastes.
hides the 9% alcohol well. mjg74 (1997), La Mesa, California, USA

Some candy-like sugary scents. A dark almost vinous quality along with yeast as well. Flavor is dark and rich. Some yeast and a hint of grain. Some fig and/or raisin. A touch of alcohol in the finish. Good tripel.
