Apr 7, 2006 Light delicate aroma, notes of banana, pineapple, flowers (maybe roses or violets), a touch of lemon citrus, and bread dough. A light hazy yellow that almost wants to glow orange, and a huge tight creamy head that is going nowhere. A light coriander spice nose shows up as some of the fruitiness subsides. Big sweet up front, strangely clean, with a tartness that feels like alot of alcohol whopping the sides of your tongue. Fair amount of hops in the finish, but they are quickly overwhelmed by a lingering fuselly alcohol finish. Let this warm for the fruit esters to really come through, particularly banana. Feels a little slick, lacking the airy fluffiness in the better tripels.

Aug 16, 2006 Bottled. Pours a slightly hazy medium orange/golden color. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Some candy-like sugary scents. A dark almost vinous quality along with yeast as well. Flavor is dark and rich. Some yeast and a hint of grain. Some fig and/or raisin. A touch of alcohol in the finish. Good tripel.

Mar 13, 2007 About 5 years old. Aromas of light caramel, malt and some spice. Hazy, light ripe apricot color with a head that did not hang around. Starts with ripe fruit flavor, moves to Belgian candy, then on to spicy malt, ending a bit hoppy with balancing caramel / lightly roasted maltiness. Very lightly spritzy carbonation. Most everything about this tastiness is that it’s light. No one thing unreasonably dominates.

May 31, 2003 75 cl. bottle. Dark Golden to overripe peach color. Cream colored head. Wide sweeping aromas. Licorice, mace, plumes, raisins, strawberries and petunias laces with white pepper. Flavors, thank heavens, do not completely match the aroma (I am not a licorice lover). Sweet spiced fruit bubblegum in the front. Middle with some pineapple, coriander and orange. Malt doesn't really come out until the finish - A merlot vinous quality with a hint of malt. A nice strong ale, but not high on my triple list.

Aug 16, 2007 Bottle. Golden/orangey looking beer with a strong head. The aroma is quite spiced and mulled, the flavour is vinous, warming, and sweetly spiced. Overall a very reasonable beer.
