Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Cloudy golden in appearance with a sweet Belgiany aroma. Flavor is of spice and licorice. You can sense the alcohol, but you can't taste it or smell it as you'd expect at 9% ABV. I'm definitely a novice when it comes to Belgian beers but I do like this one - it's worth it's fairly high rating.

bottle from brickskeller. wonderful. a sweet triple with malty, wheaty notes that finishes how i expect a triple to: slightly on the sweet side. color is light cold, a subdued yeastiness gives the beer extra body and character.

(Bottle 33 cl) Fully golden, slightly hazy with a tall and frothy head. Yeast sediment. Very potent brew with a prominent, warming alcohol glow. Yeasty, spicy and very malty with a pronounced sweetness. Nice and wellmade Tripel. 050802

Bottle. Hazy golden colour in the galss with a huge pearly ehite head. Heavy spicy aroma of coriander, citrus and tropical fruits. In mouth a pearly texture with large carbonation. Taste of spices, fresh fruit, and alcohol.

Pous a lightly cloudy gold color, with a medium frothy white head. smells of Belgian candy sugar, sticky sweet fruits, and some yeast. Nice sharp smell. The flavor was much the same, with all the standard flavors of a tripel. Not overly sweet, with a definite good dosage of alcohol which was noticeable throughout. The fruits seem to keep the sweetness at bay for the most part. Not my favorite style, but this is well crafted.

[bottle] Light golden in color, with a foamy white head. Sweet fruity aroma, with a bit of alcohol present. Flavors are fruity, like peach and pear, with yeast and some sweetness towards the end. Finishes pretty dry, with some spice.
