Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Pours cloudy burnt golden color with with thick tan head. Sweet, malty, orange citrusy nose. Very fruity, yet hint of malt character. Light alcohol presence. Very nice finish.

THE BIG 500!!!sampled from 330ml bottle.pours a murky golden body with a HUGE white head.the head leaves layers of thick white web on the side of the trappist glass.after 5 minutes or so f letting the head sit,i took my first whiff.aroma was very crisp and contained apples, grapes, flowers, and a tiny bit of belgian yeast.the flavor was also full of apples, grapes, summer flowers, and some begian yeast.this is light, airy, but still full of flavor.

Bottle. Murky gold color like an unsettled wort. Frothly white head that isn’t going anywhere. Carbonation is there, but hard to see through the cloudiness. Aroma is packed with honey, nutmeg, orange peel, an other assorted spices. A tingly flavor leaning toward citrus and nutmeg but a fair amount of hops to balance the sweet. What your left with is a warm alcohol finsih like a good brandy. Admirably light palate handling the 9% alcohol with ease. A quencing brew that will warm you up and make you smile.

This beer looks kewl, it has a massive mountain of white foam and a very cloudy yellowy brown body. The smell is sweet with yeast and lemon being the biggest aspects of the smell; I could also pick caramel and banana, as beer got warmer. The beer feels thick and smooth in my mouth with not too much carbonation. Full, full flavour doesn’t taste watered down one bit. There’s kind of an orangey wood flavour to this brew and I like it. Yeast is an other flavour that quit prevalent, I also got creamy caramel at the back of my throat. The beer has lots of creamy citrus juice flavours hidden in the taste, this is a very complex beer. It’s a simply amazing beer very easy drinking and you can’t taste the high alc. content at all."
