Cask at Secklow Hundred (JDW), Milton Keynes. Gold with a white head. Sweet hair oil hop aroma. Flavour is flat, dull and not altogether fresh. Too warm. Some bitterness. This JDW is not so good as the other in MK. Suspect this one had been sitting around a bit.

A Mes rate: cask at Baker Street ’Sporks.
Pale golden blonde with a slight white film. Strong wheat and straw in the aroma with some faint hops in the background. The flavour is well balanced malt and hops but the straw notes do not do it any favours. Faint notes of alcohol and honey in the finish. I’m sure this would be pretty decent if served well but sadly most JDW’s are not capable of doing it justice. So so at best.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 6/12/07. Deep gold colour with a decent white head. Aroma of sour apples with some citrus hops. Flavour was slightly spicy with a dry finish. Strange.

Cask gravity at Nottingham BF 2007. Gold, bleachy apricot aroma. OK in mouth, but more bleach on end. Not very pleasant. Not sure what it is trying to taste of. Bleachy apricot.
