mgumby10 (1651), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Jun 15, 2008 Courtesy SoLan. POurs a fairly clear straw gold, with a small off white head. Smells of heavy spices, alot of nutmeg and perhaps some clove and mint as well. Got a touch of some soap in there too. The flavor was much of the same, pretty decently spiced, with a big ginger and clove character attacking the taste buds. Some crisp citrus was apparent as well, but is more in the background as the spices run front and center. Decently refrshing, but not really my thing.
Bullit (589), Glasgow, Scotland Sep 13, 2008 Tap @ Kafe Belgie. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma has some spices and faint malts. Flavour is spicy and malty. Average blond beer. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 17, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a lacing white head. Almost clean cornish acidic dry aroma, light spiced though. Flavour is mild mellow yeasty with a light wheaty note and delicate spice twist. Creamy carbonation mouthfeel, mild spiced finish too. Light caramel and yeasty mix into the finish, yet doesn’t let go of the pilsner like elements and stays much inside of that realm flavourwise. Wim (792), Turnhout, Belgium Aug 17, 2008 hazy blond coloured body with a white head a yeasty spicy aroma a yeasty spicy herby taste with a spicy bitter finish Yves (454), Beerse, Belgium Aug 12, 2008 Hazy blond coloured beer with very small white head and medium carbonation. Spicy, herby and yeasty aroma. Full bit sweet sparkling palate. Finish is yeasty, herby and sweet slightly bitter towards the end. Quite longer finish. Good one.
