Flossmoor tasting. Pours dark brown with a taned head. Low sweetness. Aromas of fresh smoke. Also some hints of leather towards the end. Medium to full bodied. Smokey finish.

from a 12 oz bottle. Very nice deep copper color. Very malty and a lovely scotch ale. Malt blends well with the alcohol and presents a very smooth tasting beer.

Bottle, Thanks to Bu11zeye. Pours a ruby-brown, similar to a Dr. Pepper soda, With a almost non-existant head.....I almost want to say NO head...Aroma of alcohol and burnt popcorn....tasted the same as well with a malty sweetness (it was tasty though). Medium mouth feel with medium carbonation.....It wasn’t a bad beer, but I am not a fan......

Had this beer on 8/27/2006. Aroma is a deep tasted malt scent that seems a lot like a porter. Color is a deep solid amber, carbonation is a bit low with a thin head. Taste is deep, roasted and burnt. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a smooth feel. Finish comes out of this smooth feel with a bold rich roasted flavor that builds to a sweetness. This is the be backed by a mild bitterness and ends with an easy burnt flavor. I like it. It seems to be like a full rich porter.

Bomber, pours a cola brown with a slight white head that dissipates to an outer ring, moderate lacing. Aroma doesn’t bode well, with a mess of roasted malts, toffee, peat and smoke, but none of it blends well together. Flavor is thin and watery, yet abrasive and full of artificial smoke flavor. I’m done; this ia a mess, and my first official drain pour, yet still not as bad as DFH 120 Minute. Why, oh, why did I decide to have this follow the HotD Fred from the Wood?!?!

Bottle. Poured a dark purplish-brown color with a medium light-brown head. Good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, brown sugar, and toffee. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is complex, with a nice blend of brown sugar, malt, and wood. Very nice Scottish ale, along the lines of Old Chub. Thanks to Caddylac for this bottle.

[Colorado Road Trip – 2006] A deep dark beer with a minimal head. Loved the flavor of this beer . Has tons of different flavors from toffee, Carmel and smoke flavors. This was a great Scottish ale and I loves this type of beer. Pour me more please.
