Peaty toasty nose. Sweet and full bodied. Roasty malt and molassesMalty and warming with some rye bread but very little hops. Smoky finish with low bitterness. Really nice beer, but the malt profile is a little bit rough which prevents it from getting a top score. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Poured a dark mahogany color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of toffee, peat, smoke, dark fruits and on the earthy side. Softer tastes of caramel, dark fruits, wood and peat. Light alcohol in the finish but overall well hidden. Smooth and easy to drink. This was one kick ass scotch ale. CaptainCougar (5487), Rockville, Maryland, USA
