22oz bottle. Nice amber color with a healty head that leaves some lace as it recedes. I like the aroma a lot...malt and resiny, fruity hops. I like to be able to smell the malt. It comes through as fresh cookies to me here...Body is a bit light and I’m getting that big crisp sappy bitterness I expected....rather a lingering resin is preasant and I can sense mountain water washing over my tongue too...There are a lot of hops in the flavor, showing peaches and apricots and maybe orange blossoms. This is a solid IPA that I’m really enjoying...I had thought I picked up 2 bottles of it from Liquor Max, but it looks like I got 2 Plaid Bastards instead...hopefully it is as enjoyable as this one is! I like that the body is light and the bitterness isn’t overdone...malt shows up too, which I think is essential to my enjoyment of hoppy beers. Fruitiness appears more citusy to me as I drink it. I need to make the drive and visit this place...I hope they hold out!

Sampled on draught @ The Grand Lake Brewing Company in Grand Lake, CO. Deep red color. Aroma is hop accented (resin, grapefruit, lemon) along with a fruity malt and caramel contribution. Tastes of butter toffee and caramel underneath an onslaught of juicy hop flavors. A bit light in body, which keeps it from being incredible. Still very good though.

Bomber from brewery, poured cloudy, medium amber with moderate light tan head that thins quickly. Aroma and flavor hits you with grapefruit, hops, pine and other citrus. More of a citrusy than hops bitter bite; overall a very flavorful IPA.

Had this beer on 6/27/2006. Aroma is full of fresh hop scents and a light sweet malt scent. Color is deep golden brown with light carbonation and head. Taste is very hoppy. Starting with a medium body it goes down smooth with an almost sweet feel. Finish comes out with a malty sweetness that is a bit like caramel and then a full fresh hop taste that ends with a nice yet mild bitterness. I must note that the carbonation is a bit too low and I think that it would be even better if the carbonation was higher.

Bomber. Poured clear coppery orange with a short cap of off-white head.. nice color to it. The aroma picked up juicy floral and citrusy notes with a sweet, rich caramel backing.. resiney. The flavor opened with tangy orange zest and brighter floral notes with sweet toffee and caramel rolling in.. bitterness stayed at least moderate throughout with a nice citrus bend to it.. finished long and resiny, picking up a little pineapple.. tasty! Medium-plus bodied and kinda syrupy on the palate with a nice slow flow to it.. great brew!

22oz bottle acquired in trade with snowtiger (thanks!). Poured a dark and cloudy amber color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of pineapple, spices and some caramel. Tastes of caramel, apricots, oranges and citrus. Nicely balanced - not your overboard bitter finish. Nice lacing left on the glass. Enjoyable.
