VitaminR (421), Colorado, USA Aug 19, 2009 Rich molasses, malt, and slight chocolate cinnamon nose. Brilliant red amber, small head. Sweet caramel malt and mild bitterness. Lightish carbonation, thin body, finish is malty but ends too quickly. Nose suggests it will be better than it is. The beer is tasty, but it could use something more, maybe more body and carbonation? dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jun 24, 2009 This has a pretty good sweet aroma. The head is very tasty. Creamy but with a good graininess. The flavor is grainy as well, but sweet and creamy as well. Really, this is quite nice. 2 for 2 with these guys. thehurt01 (201), Denver, Colorado, USA Mar 15, 2009 A 12oz bottle. The beer poured a nice amber body and thin cream head. the smell is nutty citrus and so is the taste. Good carbonation. Hophead22 (1056), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA Jan 16, 2009 oz bottle from aplusbreaks. Dark amber pour, very little head. Carmelly aroma. Nice hop presence, good bite too it. Nice roastiness as well. Pretty good. aplusbreaks (330), , Colorado, USA Jan 9, 2009 Draft at the brewpub in Grand Lake. Pours a reddish amber with a thin off white head. Aromas of caramel malts, and some slight smoke notes? I think my nose is off today but the flavor seemed to confirm the smoke. Nice hop presence in the mid palate. Interesting beer for sure. ilherps (212), Carbondale, Illinois, USA Aug 29, 2008 The beer has a reddish amber color, tastes caramelized and slightly of hops on the finish. I smell dust on the nose. Flavors are of toffee, malts, and lots of coffee. Aubrey (2773), Denver, Colorado, USA Jul 16, 2008 Bottle: Medium amber hue; very thin head. Mouthfeel is smooth and fairly easy to drink; light carbonation. Light sweetness (Boston baked beans, toffee, buttered toast). Healthy hoppy bitterness (grass, flowers, tree sap) with a bit of sourness (grapefruit zing, orange rind). Somewhat bold for the style, but not bad. desurfer (1067), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA Jul 2, 2008 Tap at the brewpub in Grand Lake. Pours a light reddish brown with no head. Aroma is sweet and mildly hoppy. More hoppiness in the flavor, with some doughy malts to balance it out. Pretty good.
