Diogène (542), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Oct 23, 2009 500ml bottle thanks to Boutip. Clear golden with a medium foamy white head. Good retention and great lacing. Aroma is banana syrup for kids, marshmallow strawberries, waternmelon, fizzy peach candies, citrus and malt. Flavor is very fruity, slightly less candy than the aroma. There is citrus, peach, strawberries, herbs, malt, hops and an interesting bitter finish. Thin to medium body with fine bubbles. Much better than expected, I’m impressed with this one. fredthecat (176), Canada Oct 6, 2009 its a hazy yellow with a small ring of head. smells grassy, sort of metallic, and not to say it lightly but like urine. tastes light, strangely a bit like alcohol considering its percent, dull-almost bready, a tiny bit spicy, with a noticeable metallic taste. it feels flat though moderate bodied, from its packaging and the rating i expected an interesting, flavourful low percent lager but this is just too far off tasting. Bejaaamin (110), London, Ontario, Canada Sep 16, 2009 clear yellow, fluffy white head. Plain nose, slightly herbal, dried fruits, some citrus, soapy, bready. Bready taste as well, smooth and clean, balanced well, not an amazing beer but better than any other light lager ive tried. wilderthanyou (407), Guelph, Ontario, Canada Sep 7, 2009 Well, I gotta say, as far as "premium lagers" go, this and Creemore are probably the best I’ve ever had. Pours a fizzy gold yellow with no head. Aroma really grainy, big bread notes, a little bit of honey and lemon, ends on a strange note, kind of smells like an old basement. Flavour is grainey, bread, lemon zest, grass, a touch of hops and more lemon in the end. A bit of soapiness in the finish, but its actually not a bad thing....in a weird kind of way. Really good, will buy again. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Aug 3, 2009 Simple, but very well made. Nothing exciting, just a solid balanced, well made thirst quenching lager. Good stuff. PaulHegedus (458), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada Aug 2, 2009 Bottle, fresh from the brewery. This is a transparent golden orange colour with a thin, permanent, off white head. The aroma is very nice: plenty of malt, honey, fresh bread, orange peel, clove, flowers, lemon, spices. Mouthfeel is medium, smooth. The flavour has loads of lemon zest; it’s very floral too, with dandelion, grass, oats, cereal, apple, some peppermint. Finish is medium to short with grassy hops. garthicus (1215), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 25, 2009 With great thanks to Tupalev. Appearance golden orange with a medium white head and some good visible carbonation. Aroma: Lots of orange peel, hops, fruit, spice, lactose and malt. Flavour: Malt and lots of lactose, spice, orange, mild hops. Long milky finish. Not bad. Ughsmash (3978), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Jul 20, 2009 Bottled on 4/17/09. Poured clear, light-medium orange with a lovely cap of white head. The aroma was soft with lightly-toasted bready and pils malts accented by spicy floral and lemony hoppage.. a little weak, but quite pleasant. The flavor opened with tangy orange zest, rolling onto dry, toasted bread and grainy notes at the core.. a soft, subtle, slightly bitter bouquet of floral notes surrounded.. well-balanced on the tasty finish. Light-bodied, but with a more substantial feel than expected.. rolling carbonation.. very enjoyable stuff!
