Commercial Description:
Au Naturale is an easy drinking, blonde ale. The ale has a crisp, clean body and a subtle malt sweetness. All organic German Pilsner, Vienna and CaraHell malts and German organic Hallertau hops are used for purity’s sake. The play on words lends itself not only to the organic ingredients in the beer, but also to the lifestyle of those of us who live at one with nature. Grab a bottle and join us in the hot spring!

Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a minimal white head. The nose is malt and light floral hops The taste is malt and earthy hops with faint citrus in the finish. Medium prickly body. Not that great, but drinkable.

Bottle: Poured a lightly cloudy medium yellow color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and no lacing. Aroma of medium sweet malt with light floral notes. Taste is not the most complex with some light sweet malt and limited hops presence. Easily drinkable but not necessarily enjoyable enough to come back to it very often.

Bottle from a sampler 12 pack. Clear gold under a big off white head with excellent durability (but I’m at 9,000 ft., so that helps). Nose is grainy up front, followed by some light fruitiness, and a distant floral quality. Light body and fairly lively effervescence, smooth, but with a light stickiness. Decidedly sweet, but not a thick sweetness, and a very gentle bitterness at the finish is welcome. Still, there’s a lingering graininess that I would prefer not to see in a beer that begs to be clean and refreshing.

Thanks to Skyview. Orange color with a thin head. Aroma of caramel malts and solid orange, floral hops. Very interesting flavor... a bit of lemon, followed by what tastes like wheat. Fruity and caramel malt. Really nice!

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with unclemike. Pours a hazy gold with a thin linen white head that lasted through the first two or three sips and left very little lace. Very, very mild aroma of grassy hops. The flavor is light malt up front followed by some mild, soft, grassy hops. Slight bitterness at the finish.

If anyone freaks out about my high rating, I judged this beer against the style, not against my personal preference. For a blond ale, I think that Au Naturale is fantastic. It had a great fresh flavor that showcased fresh esters; red apples, with toffee. It could have been hoppier and still within style, but I liked the brewers interpretation.

Bottle. Pours clear dark gold with a persistent white head. Pilsner-like aroma with some grass and a little corn. Some bread and toffee in the taste. A crisp but barely bitter finish, a little acidic as well. None of its flaws are particularly strong, nor are any of its virtues.
