Commercial Description:
Au Naturale is an easy drinking, blonde ale. The ale has a crisp, clean body and a subtle malt sweetness. All organic German Pilsner, Vienna and CaraHell malts and German organic Hallertau hops are used for purity’s sake. The play on words lends itself not only to the organic ingredients in the beer, but also to the lifestyle of those of us who live at one with nature. Grab a bottle and join us in the hot spring!

Deep hazy gold pour with a thin head. Malty nose with corn notes. Earthiness and malty harvest flavors.

Dark gold body with a lightly off white head. The aroma has some sweet peaches and bread dough. There is also some sunflowers. The taste has sweet rotting canned peaches with some nasty flat Sprite. Smells and tastes like partially fermented wort. There is not much in this unbalanced mess to recommend. A disappointment from a normally solid brewer.

Sample from November 21, 2008 beer club meeting. Wow… USDA organic! Light and crisp. Pilzy aroma. Bubbly. Clean. Grass/hay presence. Lovely & clear!

Fruity nose with spicy hop notes. Deep golden color, medium head. Mild and clean malt sweetness, big hop bitterness. Good carbonation, light to medium bodied, with a crisp and clean finish. Easy drinking crisp beer with some depth.

Bottle.
Pours a decent but thin cheddar orange with a faint, thin head and slight carbonation. Aroma is mild peach honey and herbal grass. Grassy notes in the flavor, with a bitter, slight malt finish offset by faint floral hop notes. Average mouthfeel. Great lawnmower beer.

Clear golden color with a moderate wispy off-white head. Aromas of dusty dry pale malt, some dry herbs and lemon zest. Fairly light and touch fizzy feel. Orange zest and pale malt in the front. Some grains in the middle along with some more citric acid. Finish and a mix of dryed flowers and and herbs. The linger is fairly uninviting, with dry weeds and slightly fermented corn.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a smallish head over a pale yellow body....minimal nose with very light hop and malt....tastes initially of light malt, then very light hopping. Mouth feel light. Get a trend here?
