Commercial Description:
Au Naturale is an easy drinking, blonde ale. The ale has a crisp, clean body and a subtle malt sweetness. All organic German Pilsner, Vienna and CaraHell malts and German organic Hallertau hops are used for purity’s sake. The play on words lends itself not only to the organic ingredients in the beer, but also to the lifestyle of those of us who live at one with nature. Grab a bottle and join us in the hot spring!

12 oz. bottle from Papago - Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a half finger thick white head. Aroma is bready, grainy malt and light herbal hops. Decent spotty lacing. Flavor is grain and bisciut malt. Light to medium body. Palate is a bit thin. A decent beer.

Pale golden pour with a white foamy head. Sweet bready malt, citrus and light hops in the aroma. Light sweet flavor with a good hop balance. Very drinkable, and really not a bad blonde!

An auroma of bread and butter, with a hint of citrus. This organic blonde ale lacks that "grassy" intense flavor that I seem to find in most organics. Although I’m a fan of the grassy flavor, Grand Teton Brewing manages to keep it together to make a fine Blonde ale. This is one of the first Blonde ales that I’ve walked away thinking, oh yea, I like Blonde ales.

25-Aug-08 (12-oz bottle: BevMo in La Jolla, CA) The sweet entry of corny and husky malts is soon joined by gently bitter hops that offer a delicate dose of spice, dust and hot peppers. But for the most part, as seems typical of organic beers, it’s the corn and husk flavor of the malts that stands out the most. As the beer warms the huskiness grows more and more dominant, tipping the equilibrium toward unpleasant. In the nose, the aromas are balanced unless the glass is given a quick swirl, and then all that huskiness starts jumping out of the glass. Medium in body, but not crisp or clean, so the beer lingers too long. Carbonation is light-medium. Slightly hazy and golden in color, the beer is capped by a small and short-lived off-white head that leaves no lacing on the glass. Only the picture on the label is enjoyable.

Smells like white bread and creamed corn. Better flavor than the aroma. Citrus, grass, butter and bread. That initial nose is a little jarring though. Pale color with small head and minimal lacing. Not a huge fan of this at all. The blonde on the label looks hot though.

Strong honeycomb aroma, slightly floral, very powerful. Honeyed gold, stark white head. Sweet but light bodied. Quick finish, I was afraid this would linger too long and be cloying but it finishes very gently.

12oz bottle. Malt swill aroma. Hazy yellow body with white head. Had some crisp bitter to the start but buy finsh all watered down. Just another ordinary beer.
