| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 10, 2005 Updated: Sep 12, 2005Black color, tan head, nice lacing. Nose of licorice, astringent roast and bitter raw cacao chocolate. The flavor has way too much astringency and it is far too dry to be called a baltic porter. The tail is starchy and the finish is lacking. Im not sure why they labeled this a baltic porter but it seems more like an imperial dry stout. I sense that Darrin is somewhere entering his rating simultaneously, I better hurry! ratman197 (3262), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2005 Bottle: Very dark brown, moderate to thin beige head, spotty lacing. Mild cocoa nose, softer wintergreen or spearmint. Moderate cocoa tongue, but not as hearty as other examples. Body and mouthfeel are quite big however. Roasted malt and woody finish. Not so much a Baltic Porter, but a Porter none the less. Still enjoyable. Thanks for sharing Ken!

Pours deep dark brown with not much head at all. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, and a bit of pine hops. Nice smooth blend of flavor between coffee and chocolate with a nice bitter hop pine finish. Palate is medium bodied and quite drinkable not thick at all. Just drinkable and smooth on the palate. Very nice... Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Aroma is very malty, chocolatey and slightly roasty. Smells like ice cream malt quite a bit. Deep black with slight ruby hues and a thumb thick, but quickly fading tan head. Fore is burnt and bitter. Hops are very piney and strongly concentrated. Chocolate malt and cocoa through the middle and into the finish. Powdered ice cream malt lingers in the finish. Kevin (1920), Colorado, USA
