Similar flavor, but with some strength: roast, vanilla, butterscotch, and toast. Smooth and velvety, which makes it seem milder than it really is. Highly enjoyable. oldrtybastrd (1823), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

Aroma is very malty, chocolatey and slightly roasty. Smells like ice cream malt quite a bit. Deep black with slight ruby hues and a thumb thick, but quickly fading tan head. Fore is burnt and bitter. Hops are very piney and strongly concentrated. Chocolate malt and cocoa through the middle and into the finish. Powdered ice cream malt lingers in the finish. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA
