| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 28, 2008 Dark crimson out of the bottle with an eggshell head. Crystal clear with carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass. Aroma is somewhat sweet, but with surprising hop characteristics. Flavor is a nice combination of the dominant flavors; malt and hops playing well together. Very drinkable, nice medium mouthfeel, enjoyable. nbutler11 (754), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 28, 2008 Pours a rich amber from the bottle with a tan (almost orange) head of foam. Loaded with hops on the nose and balanced by caramel in the flavor. Refreshing and highly drinkable, despite its name.. inkubus27 (250), Highland, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 27, 2008 Bottle thanks to LilBeerDoctor. Pours a dark copper color, actually much darker than I anticipated. Aroma smells of American citrus hops and some sweet malts. Flavor hits you with a big dose of hops, malt and a nice lasting bitterness. Feels like a cross between an APA and an ESB because of the hops used. Liked it and glad I got to try it. zombywoof (358), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 25, 2008 Very strong nose of resiny hops, carmelized fruit, grass, and toffee. Nicely balanced-sweet and bitter in equal proportions.Hints of wood and spice with a nice finish. Hello, new favorite ESB. Yummers. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 22, 2008 Bottle in trade from ditmier. Thanks!
Pours a dark maroon, clear color with short lived beige head. Smell is Fruity, hibiscus tea and dusty malt. Taste is dusty and fruity malt, with bittering and tea like hops. Pretty balanced, and a flavorful ESB. Medium bodied. Normal carbonation. Solid. BillKismet (1943), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 22, 2008 Pours a rich mahogany amber color with a tan-orange top. This E.S.B. has a well developed malt structure, layered with crystal malts, some nutty notes, and some chewy caramel character, both in aroma and flavor. Hops provide a moderate fruitiness that plays off the malting, which is showcased in this brew. Mildly bitter hop and dusted malt finish. A fantastic ESB for all seasons. fredandboboflo (1418), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 21, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of tropical yellow-orange fruits and toasted pumpernickel malt. Flavor contains the same notes with an emphasis on the burnt-around-the-edges toast, some nuttiness. More of a 6+ for flavor. Nice beer. LilBeerDoctor (1505), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours a ruby red with a small white head. Aroma of toasted malts, yum! Flavor of the same toasted malts, light fruits (apple skins) with a bitter finish. Pretty fruity/sweet for an ESB but still good. I’ve been a little wary of trying Grand Teton beers, but this one was actually pretty solid and tasty. Worth a try.
