Commercial Description:
Bitch Creek perfectly balances big malt sweetness and robust hop flavor for a full bodied, satisfying mahogany ale. Like the stream for which it is named, our Bitch Creek ESB is full of character... Not for the timid.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Amber color and clear with a light tan head. Smell is floral, malts, caramel, and some hop bitterness. Taste is malts, hop bitterness, light, but not that great.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of beerbill. Thanks! Pours a clear ruby red color with a small head and moderate lacing. Earthy aroma with grain, toffee and hop notes. Taste is grain and leafy hops with a spicy finish. Medium bodied.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick rapidly deflating head, over a clear brown with golden tones body....nose slightly sour, with later mild malts then hop aromas....tastes of the usual malts then hop finish...nice balance but over all rather light. Was it a bad bottle??

Sample from November 21, 2008 beer club meeting. Dark amber color, very nice, but small head. Malty aroma. Sweet... almost of raisins. Flavor is hoppy, strong and punchy for an ESB.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy red-brown with a decent, frothy, sticky, light tan head that lasts. Taste is of grapefruit, citrus, malt, pine and hops. A little sweet, but has nice bitter finish. Aroma is much the same. Well balanced, very easy to drink and quite pleasant. Overall, an enjoyable brew that is worth having time and time again.

(bottle - 12 oz) Dark amber color with a huge amount of tan head. Aroma is light, malty, and slightly sweet with just the slightest hint of hops at the end. Flavor is hoppy at the beginning with a nice citrus sweetness mixed in. The middle is smooth and malty with a lightly sweet finish that has a good hint of caramel mixed with the citrus and the hops. Not too bad, but not very well balanced. The malts take over near the end.

Bottle. Pours red with a beige head. The aroma has malty sweetness, hops, and a light vegetal quality, that thankfully doesn’t show up in the flavor. Sweet malty flavor, a bit toasty, with some earthy hops. Nice.
