Aug 7, 2009 (draft). Cloudy copper color. Medium off white head, which is mostly diminishing. Citrus hop aroma and flavor. Slick texture. Avg duration. Heavy carbonation. Spare lacing.

Aug 7, 2009 Bottle from Sun Devil. Pours a bright copper color with a trim off-white head. Smells of waxy grapefruit and brown sugar. Aggressive in flavor with the taste of caramel, citrus, and hotness. Approaches a barleywine in the presence of alcohol. Strong, but not well balanced.

Aug 6, 2009 Bottle. Poured a really nice murky and rich amber-orange; creamy, off white head. Aroma of chewy caramel, pine, citrus, sweet malt and fruit. Pretty spot on aroma. I liked the flavor because it was both balanced and tasty, while always being easy to drink. Resiny pine and citrus, with a good dose of caramel background. On the sweeter side, but not overly so. Oily and creamy palate. An almost sessionable IIPA.

Aug 3, 2009 Pours hazy orange with a disappearing orange head. It has a malt forward aroma with caramel, toffee, nuts, syrup and sweaty peaches/apricots. Its very full bodied, almost syrupy with caramel, peach, apricot, and orange flavors and a piney bitter finish.

Aug 3, 2009 Draft -> Tulip. Paired with a Softshell Crab Po’ Boy. Pours a dark amber, slightly cloudy, with no head (or it was slow to arrive at the table). Smelled of hops (mild for a DIPA), citrus, and grass. Tasted balanced hops to malt, with maybe a little fruit.

Jul 30, 2009 Bottle. Poured cloudy dark orange with a thick lasting white head. Baie lacing. Powerful aroma with citrus, clove, naartjie and pine. Very hoppy flavour, sweet naartjie, resin and a bit of malt. Lasting hoppy finish. I’m drinking it with potato salad and boerwors fresh from the fire.

Jul 26, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Plaza liquors - Pours a hazy golden color with a one finger thick off white head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is toasted malt and floral hops. Flavor is lightly sweetened malt with a good dose of floral and pine hops. Flavor is quite lip smacking. Palate is fairly smooth. Medium body. This is actually a fun beer to drink.
