Commercial Description:
Lost Continent Double IPA has an astonishing three pounds of hops per barrel in the kettle and another pound per barrel of "dry-hops" added after fermentation, bringing this beer to 90+ IBUs. Starting with an original gravity of 22˚ Plato (1.088 SG), this is a full-bodied beer weighing in at 8.0% ABV. The hops provide citrusy, resinous spiciness, making this beer a great match for any bold food. Try it with prime rib, Cajun blackened pork or chicken, Thai, Indian or Vietnamese cuisine.

pours like liquid cramel with a thick creamy head that lingers. I smell sweet juicy malt and citrus. Full luscious nectar w/ creamy chewy residual effers. A copious malt backboe bench presses a ton of spiney hop sacks producing flavors of caramel and pine resin. A defined sweetness overshadows the bittering to a point yet never reaching cloying. A fantastic specimen

Great hoppy floral aroma that isn’t over bittered. The flavor is also excellent. Strong hop bitterness, bot in a good way. I enjoyed this beer and am surprised by the relatively low style score.

12 oz. bottle- Pours golden orange with not much head, aroma is citrus, grass, and very floral. The flavor is a very mellow not overbearing Double IPA with an underlying bitterness that doesn’t fully develope until after the swallow. It’s a good thing I bought a four pack of this stuff because I already want more.

Dark orange hue with thin ring of white head, sticky lacing. Nose is pine resin and thick bread malts and light citrus. Flavor is a thick balanced DIPA with plenty of rich malty backbone to complement the sticky resiny hop flavor, touch of grass, orange citrus, honey, and caramel. Full-bodied, chewy texture, medium carbonation. A big and thick DIPA with lots of flavor and balance, not a hop bomb at all, borders on the barleywine style.

Pours a murky amber viscosity, just below syrupy into my 16oz snifter... there is a small head with little retention, but there is smooth, creamy carbonation... no worries... the smell is hop acids very bitter with pine, grapefruit, citrus and grass... very nice smells... the flavor follows the smell with sweet light color apricot, peach, and grapefruit compote... and bitterness lingers on the end... mouthfeel is viscous and full... I like this one... Grand Teton (while little known) is one of my favorite brewers... they make some stellar stuff... I just wish more peeps knew about them.

Aroma of bright citrusy hopping, more orangy then grapefruit, sugar daddy caramel comes through also. First taste is somewhat different then other hop bombs. This absolutely reminded me of a hop infused creamsickle , with that orangey hopping really evident now, and the malting showing up as a slightly sweet creamy sidekick. Has that absolute perfect level of carbonation, so smooth that all the flavors dance around the palate A pleasant teasing bitterness takes it home. Seems to thin out just a hair half way through the pint, but kudos indeed for coming up with a unique hop bomb taste. On tap at Romans in Milwaukee

12oz – Thanks, ditmier! Hazy dark orange, thick off white creamy head. Thick peachy pine and grapefruit hop aromas ride soft waves of toffee and hints of brown sugar. Soft bitter citric pine and mango notes balance very well on a sturdy foundation of caramel and toffee from beginning to end. Full bodied, soft carbonation, bittersweet finish. A very flavorful D-IPA without a major bite…
