| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Full Throttle Bottles in Seattle. Looks like a nice Imperial/Double. Nice haze orange appearance with a slightly fluffy head that sits around for quite some time. Old orange juice aroma with a lot of malts. The malts simply dominate the aroma. Sweet malts just don’t allow for much of the hops to come through, and if this is an imperial/double I expect to be blown away by the hops, this is simply not the case. Slight citrus orange hop flavor, but again the hops lose here. The sweet malt flavor just dominates, and the hops are second place. A very smooth beer. Glad to have tried, but damn, tone down the malts a bit eh? FunkyBrewster (515), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 27, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy glowing orange with a small white froth. Aroma is definitely a bit oxidized, some piney hops, pool water a little bit of fruitiness. Flavor ia a bit better, some decent pin hoppiness along with the citric character. Surprisingly not bitter, or at least not very bitter, must be older and these hops have faded. Finishes fairly smooth, some caramel and the citric fruits. Medium body and a soft carbonation. So so for the style, maybe fresh would be better, but not bitter enough. 5000 (2634), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Bottle:   Fiery amber, moderate frothy off-white head, fairly sticky lacing.   Malty, some biscuit, otherwise a caramel citrus peel aroma.   Heavy maltiness on the tongue, sweet citrus peel, some caramel malts, but also
some light metallic notes.   Fairly heavy, and certainly my kind of Double IPA.   Not biting, but there is some alcohol warmth.   A little bit more sweetness might overpower that slight metallic note.   Fairly full
bodied, mouthfeel is pretty thick.   That I like.   Decent finish, malty, nice hop presense, sweet, a little bitter, but does have a bit of astringency.   Otherwise this would be my kind of Double IPA.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2009 Amber with dark yeast and a frothy large tan lacemaker of a head. Aroma of citrus, caramel malt and grains. Taste of caramel, grapefruit, mild resinous hops, sweet malt and mild alcohol. Mild bitterness on the backend, an average DIPA. timbeer (57), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 7, 2009 12oz bottle from Naven - thanks again. Hazy golden pour with a thin head and decent lacing hold. Sweet caramel malt and citrusy hop aroma. Sweet flavor with a bracing bitterness on the tongue. It’s got a medium mouth feel that is sticky and a long somewhat bitter and hot (alcohol) finish. Overall it’s a decent DIPA, well balanced, not overly hoppy. potbeercollege (430), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Bottled. Darker orange with thinner white head. Alive. Aroma is of fruit, sweet caramel, and lighter citrus. Flavor is also sweet citrusy with some sweeter orange and more regular grapefruit notes. Only lightly bitter but balanced. Very well hidden booze. ChristianScheffel (4679), Odense, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Cloudy orange with a lasting off-white head. Weak aroma with orange, and toffee. Sweet malty flavour, some orange notes, a little alcohol and medium bitterness brenn79 (212), Idaho, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 5, 2009 12 oz. bottle- Pours golden orange with not much head, aroma is citrus, grass, and very floral. The flavor is a very mellow not overbearing Double IPA with an underlying bitterness that doesn’t fully develope until after the swallow. It’s a good thing I bought a four pack of this stuff because I already want more.
