| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 6, 2006 Sampled from bottle, a gift from Dansting. Pours a hazy copper-gold with a thin white head and remarkable lacing. Aroma is apple blossom and sweet malt. Flavor is balanced (perhaps slightly sweet) and has some fresh fruit and smoke. Medium-light body and well-carbonated. Quite good for the style. Very easy to drink. shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 12, 2006 As the name would indicate, the pour pours a golden color, but unlike it’s namesake this beer has very little froth. With only a thin creamy ring and trace amounts of lacing this beer is hardly as awe-inspiring. The aroma is sweet and pleasent, almost honeyish. There is a light floral character to the flavor and the finish in slightly dry. Maybe a little toasty? Interesting. Ernest (4489), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 10, 2006 Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is light amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Grainy ending hurts this one a bit...otherwise fairly decent for the style. Lively flowery nose. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 9, 2006 12 oz bottle, via Indiana_Red. Pours a clear gold with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Moderate visible carbonation. Light crystal malt aroma, some hay and floral hoppiness with touches of wheat, tobacco, and band-aids. Fruity flavor, very light in malt with minimal bitterness. Light bodied with prickly carbonation on the tongue. Boring mouthfeel, but at the same time somewhat refreshing. Pretty forgettable overall, but my first Idaho beer. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 28, 2006 Pours medium yellow with a soapy, bubbley head. Very light aroma, maybe lemony hops in there. Taste starts with a nice caramel sweet malt thing, with light grassy hops. Quickly gets a metallic bite to it, which turns a little sour through the finish. Half way done beer. beerbill (1954), Laurel, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 26, 2006 Bottle. One of my favorite beer logos - period. Ok, on to the beer...pours a starw yellow with a white foamy head. Light floral aroma. Light flavor of malt with a dry, hoppy finish. paulmetzger (152), Pocatello, Idaho, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 16, 2006 Pours "pale golden" as the bottle suggests. Aroma is sweet and somewhat musky. Starts crisp and refreshing, but fades to a lasting musky taste. Average body. This might be a good transition beer from bud to something good, but it’s a pretty poor showing. Would not buy again.
