The flavor is lemons coated in sugary sweetness, some bread. Medium body and sticky. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 17, 2006 Thanks to Bück Dich. Cloudy lemon-yellow body with a pure white head. Aroma of sulfur, lemon and earthy, slightly musty hops, plus muted alcohol. Interesting concentrated flavor has elements of spice, fruit peels, and sherbert. Creamy mouthfeel. A big beer for sure and almost too chewy. Not especially pils-like in any way but a fun beer that I enjoyed more than DFH Golden Shower. kmweaver (2474), Sebastopol, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 16, 2006 Rating #1. Courtesy of Bück Dich (thanks to argo0 for hosting). Fluffy head, nice lacing and retention. Lighter mouthfeel - lemons and slightly herbal; tastes closer to a pilsner than anything grander. Significantly less dense than a Rogue Morimoto, Golden Shower, etc. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 11, 2006 Overall a very nice pilsener. Golden yellow color is hazy with a bit of whiteish head. Taste is a blend of hops, yeast, breadiness, malts, and floral tones. Intense flavors, yet very clean and crisp. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 18, 2006 Soapy and fruity aroma with light apricot essence; it’s hard to get a good sense of the color by campfire, but it pours with a pasty white firm, large and dense perennial head and certainly has a cloudy body; malty front end with a tangy, fruity hop finish; fairly smooth but the hops covey a slightly phenolic and fruity backdrop not expected with a lager; well balanced with substantial maltiness and bold, terse hop finish. This has to be a difficult style to pull off, but some beers just are not meant to be Imperialized, including this one. Overall I think it’s done pretty well. BückDich (4854), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 17, 2006 1L Swing top with red wax: Pours a misty yellow color, thick creamy white head, very retentive and good lacing. The nose is lightly hoppy with some herbal things going on with a touch of dms and light malt. The flavor shows a bit more of the fruity ethanol malt liquor type of character but it has a snappy hop bitterness in the finish that brings it together. This is strong, but it still has many of the common associations with the pilsner style. Either way, it’s decent. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA

Creamy egg white head, with a really nice gollden sheer. LIght herbal hop nose, with a malt flavor that is fresh bake biscuits and just the right amount of lemony acidity, with some grassiness right at the end finishes clean and bitter.
