Grand Teton Sweetgrass India Pale Ale

Good quality beer for sure but lacks the distinctiveness of some of colorado IPAs. Simply malty with a long finish.

Small tan head with good retention and a coating lace. Pale blond colored brew. Nose is spicey, lightly fruity with light piney notes. Body is med/light with a fair amount of carbonation, medium bitterness. Fruity hop flvors, citrusy and a hint melony with a decent caramel malt backup. Finish is almost dry, fruity citrusy notes. Not sure who i got this from but thanks!

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy goden yellow with a creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet melon and grassy hops with a touch of pepper.

The flavor is some sugary sweetness and a little melon followed by an earthy bitter hop finish. It’s a little too sweet and I don’t particularly care for the hop flavor but it has decent bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a well-made IPA. The flavor profile isn’t totally up my alley though.

Bottle. Poured clear golden with a thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange and flowers. Taste is interesting. Overload of citrus, some sour, almost like spoiled orange juice. Bitter finish. Medium body. I’m not really into this one.

Poured a very light hazy golden amber with a nice white head. The nose was a nice mix of grapefruit, citrus and pine hops. The taste was a nice balance of citrus and pine hops with a great caramel balance. Medium bodied and smooth with a dry hoppy finish. This was a bit different tasting than other American IPAs i’ve had, but it was a good different. Check this one out if you ever get the opportunity.

Bottle from Wilburs poured into tulip - Pours amber with a 2 finger off-white head; A sugary sweetness, malt, and a good dose of hops both grassy and floral to the nose; A sour bitterness on the initial taste with TONS of floral hops and a weird malty note; Very bitter hop aftertaste; Medium body that fades to dry; Carbonation is present but doesn’t jump out at you; Didn’t like this much at all. Sat in the cellar for a month. Pretty disappointed. No citrus at all.

From who, I forget. Copper with nice billowy off-white head, decent spotty lacing. Aroma and flavor both malt dominated. Caramel and toffee, very faint grass and pine. Medium body/mouthfeel. Average at best.

Light copper/amber body, with a thin head. Hardly any lacing. Toffee, malt, and some hops in the aroma. Those same characteristics appear in the flavor profile, as well, but the hops are more pronounced. Not as bitter as it probably should be for this style, however. Carbonation is a bit on the fizzy side, but certainly not upsetting. This is a refreshing and very drinkable beer.
