| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Aroma isn’t very citrusy. A little pale, not bubbly. Taste is a little backwards in that it starts out with a nice bite of hops ad finishes thin and plain. Not very good per style. TAR (2093), Boulder Co., Colorado, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 4, 2006 Banana gold. Fluffy, big-bubbled ring of foam. Muted aroma of tangerine marmalade, straw, and lightly toasted malts. Soft floral accents. Loose and fizzy on the palate. Lightly toasted malts eventually counteract the citric acidity which tingles the palate and weakens the body. Malts are sweetly nutty and strawlike, but are also quite husky and unrefined. Rather airy and empty at the core, with bland wafery malts far outmatching the hop character. Finishes slightly toasty and grassy, but with no salvaging hop bitterness or bright hop flavors. Few hops to be found in the aroma and body? It doesn’t get much more boring than this.

Nice lacing. Has a slight grassy hop aroma. Flavor has some malt sweetness to go along with the hops. Decent balance. Light to medium body. A tad bit dry. Wortha try. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2006 12 oz. bottle, courtesy of argo0. Clear orange-amber appearance, small head. Very fresh, sweet hoppy nose. Held-back bitterness holds this IPA together - nice floral hoppiness, citrus edge, slightly dry and light finish. As multiple folks have already said tonight, very drinkable. hopscotch (5490), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 21, 2006 Bottle... Hazy golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. Toffee, grapefruit and evergreen nose. The flavor is a bit thin and leans toward the sweet side of balance, but offers nice, juicy PNW hops. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with lively carbonation. Finishes gently bitter and dry. Very drinkable! I’d say it’s an English IPA, but the hops are all American. Reminiscent of an English IPA. How’s that? Thanks go out to Argo0 for sharing the bottles. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 15, 2006 Bottle courtesy of Secret Santa. Orange body, small white head. Fairly prominent but moderate grapefruit in aroma and flavour, very light malt in the flavour. Average bordering on thin palate is acceptable. Nice hoppy pale ale, but lacks the complexity and oomph for the next level. tupalev (2617), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2006 Bottle shared wit Jerc and Hogtown Harry, Jerc’s bottle. Soapy, spicy, pepper aroma. Deep yellow, foamy white head. Decent taste - malt and hops, what else! Tons of grapefruit citrus in the linger that really wasn’t there in the taste. A quenching solid pale.
