12 oz bottle, ended up with a bit of a gusher. There was a pretty decent head which didn’t last very long. This sample didn’t seem to be fresh, as it also poured up a bit hazy. I know this is ok for the style, but this was more than usual. There was a bit of caramel present in the aroma with a nice hop background, which I think may be better with a fresher example. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor, which had a nice complex hop bitterness going with the citrus very obvious. I would like to try this one on tap, or at the very least, fresher. drjay44 (809), Salida, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 26, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a large head of short duration, with extensive lacing, over a slightly cloudy with occasional floaters, golden yellow (SRM 10-15) body.........nose of floral hops, some grapefruit, minimal pine......taste early is of malts the medium heavy hop with grapefruit as th main identity.....mouth feel is medium, carbonation light. This is a fairly typical American IPA, and is not "west coast" in hop heaviness. illidurit (895), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 23, 2009 Chill-hazed goldenrod color with a light-beige head of dense foam. Strong honey aroma with some distant citrus fruits, pineapple, slight crystal malt. Flavor is mainly crystal malty iced tea with a light dusting of citrus and a weakly bitter finish. Definitely needs more hop flavor and bitterness. Mouthfeel is a little watery. Decent IPA.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 18, 2009 Cloudy amber with a fat one finger of off white head. Fair amount of lacing. Floral hop and earthy aroma. Taste is rich hop bitterness, some leather, and a good amount of malts giving support. No bottle date and I suspect this is a bit old as the aroma wasn’t much. A middle of the road IPA. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Bottle: Clear gold color with a white head. Aromas are mainly sweet, flowery hops. Initially, it had a pretty good balance of bitter and sweet, but later turned to a more bitter, hoppy taste. I liked it alot. The feel is smooth as well, not to thick. Another great Idaho beer!

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 26, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Coppery orange, large, foamy, off white head and some good lace. Aroma boasts a substantial caramel contribution, some earthy and lightly floral hops. Medium body and carbonation, dry palate, quite smooth for an IPA. There’s lots of malt influence with caramel and toffee sweetness, and the bitterness offered up by the subdued hops brings balance, but not the assertiveness that I prefer. Nonetheless, a drinkable, decent IPA. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA
