Jul 6, 2006 Maybe I’m just feeling this one right now, but this is a full bodied IPA. I poured a bottle into my globe glass. The color’s more amber than brown. Satisfying hoppy bite. Eat my rating, haha.

Sep 27, 2007 Aroma is a fresh citric hop scent. Color is a bright clear gold with good carbonation and a nice but loose head. Taste is crisp, hoppy and bitter. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a crisp feel. Finish comes on with a mellow malt flavor that is chased down by a nice bitterness and light citrus hop flavor. This is a very good, mellow, well balanced IPA.

Sep 27, 2008 Here’s another beer these guys have tweaked, for the better. The beer is slightly darker than it used to be, pouring a nice copper/light amber. Seems like a bit more caramel malt may have been added. The hop nose is more apparent, too. The aroma is typical of an American style pale made in the pacific NW. Lots of grapefruit and citrus dominate, maybe a slight lemon zest, too. The malt provides enough backbone for the hops, without getting in their way. Fairly bitter, but not over the top like a lot of modern American IPA’s. Yep, could drink a few of these. Me likey.

Nov 21, 2004 This IPA has a nice hoppy hit that is a little beat up on by the heavy bitter finish. Can do a few of these.

Dec 4, 2009 Updated: Dec 5, 200912 oz. bottle- Pours deep golden with minimal head, aroma is lemon and some hops. The flavor is exceptional, very smooth and sweet with very little bitterness, It’s just smooth, a great session beer. Another winner from Idaho’s greatest brewery.

Feb 15, 2007 Poured a very light hazy golden amber with a nice white head. The nose was a nice mix of grapefruit, citrus and pine hops. The taste was a nice balance of citrus and pine hops with a great caramel balance. Medium bodied and smooth with a dry hoppy finish. This was a bit different tasting than other American IPAs i’ve had, but it was a good different. Check this one out if you ever get the opportunity.

Dec 16, 2004 A friend brought this back from a trip out west for me - thanks Fran!
Light golden in color with a large white head. Lots of suspended yeast particles. Mellow piney, grapefruity Cascade hop aroma, with lemons and a touch of caramel and candi sugar. Moderately bitter flavor turns lightly sweet. Nice cleansing hop spiciness in the finish, though it does seem a tad light and watery. By the time I got my bottle, it was well over 6 months old, and methinks that this little bit of aging did wonders to this beer, mellowing out the hops and allowing a rather velvety, caramel malt to rise to the surface. I was very pleased with this comfy beer.
