| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 7, 2006 Bottle from Secret Santa. Nice dark amber borwn, small tan head. Lightly nutty with a dark malt aroma. Similar flavour, some grainy malt and a dry light bitterness. Very malty flavour, toast malt begins to dominate as it warms up. Average palate. Decent but does not leave me wanting more. Quite similar to the Fish Tale Organic Amber I had previously actually, but not quite as coherent. sloth (1677), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

Mildly sweet maltyness, nutty with some chocolate notes hidden in there. Hops? Finish is lightly sweet and a bit fruity. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 23, 2006 Dark copper color with a nice sized tan head. Aroma is a subtle maltiness with some hops. Taste is also matly with a nice hop kick, caramel, and roastiness. Definitely not too sweet, very nice balance of flavors in an amber ale. billk (300), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 18, 2006 bottle 12 oz. Dark amber/brown with diminishing head & some lace. Aroma was med roast malt & mild hops. Flavor was rather dark roast slightly English tasting malt with mild hops. This amber was pushing the porter category with it’s tasty roasted semi-sweet malt. There was a nice noticable bitterness on the finish. I generally think ambers are a bore but this was in the definately drink again category. Just into med bodied. Nice clean flavor. barleyPops (1079), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA
