Commercial Description:
Workhorse Wheat is an American-style hefeweizen (literally, yeast-wheat) ale made with Idaho barley and wheat. It is pale in color and light in body, smooth and easy drinking with just a hint of tartness from the wheat. Because is it not filtered, our workhorse wheat is slightly hazy with yeast, rich in B vitamins and other good things.

2008 Bottle - Pours translucent brown tan, small white head, aroma of hop flowers and wheat, this brew was more bitter than any wheat I’ve had (and I loved that). Otherwise a standard non-filtered wheat, drinks great without the fruit...

Purchased a single 12-oz bottle at the brewery, southeast of Victor, Idaho. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a thin white head that quickly dissipates to a fine white ring. Aroma of light multi-grain malt with wheat, some lemon zest and a touch of grassy hops. Taste is light to medium bodied, some carbonation with a light fruity and bready malt flavor. Finish is slightly watery, some citrus and tart fruit aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a straw color and looks a little too bright to be a hefeweizen. No head retention or lacing and seems undercarbonated. Aroma of grass with big hits of eggs. The bitterness seems spot on but overall this beer seems like a low alcohol beer that just doesn’t have much going on.

Bottle sampled. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus, grain, and some hops. Flavor is similar to aroma with a tart finish.

Light, watery, small hint of hops and wheat. Fairly one dimensional. Not the best.

9/29/2007: Grand Teton Workhorse Wheat Ale pours a hazy, deep gold color and has a small foamy off-white head. This beer smells yeasty and fruity. The flavor has toasted wheat with a touch of honey, some fruity notes, and a touch of smoke. The body is medium-light, but can seems a touch watery at times. Overall this is a "smooth & easy drinking" beer just like the label says!

12 fl. oz. bottle from my parents. Rating #53 for this beer...

350 ml bottle from Bevmo. Cloudy yellow with no head. Wheat bread and citrus aroma with some funk notes. Sweet malty slightly tart taste, that’s about all that’s going on.

Hazy orangish amber. Aroma is wheat, grain, bread, lighter fruits. Light body, fairly watery texture, lightly sweet grainy bready finish. Ehh...
