Commercial Description:
Workhorse Wheat is an American-style hefeweizen (literally, yeast-wheat) ale made with Idaho barley and wheat. It is pale in color and light in body, smooth and easy drinking with just a hint of tartness from the wheat. Because is it not filtered, our workhorse wheat is slightly hazy with yeast, rich in B vitamins and other good things.

Dirty cloudy dark gold. Smells wheaty but doesn’t taste so much like it. Can’t pick up any banana, citrus or bublegum flavor. Pretty average & disappointing.

12 oz bottle from BevMo in Sacramento this was $7.00 a six pack. Poured light amber with a small white head and almost no lacing. Nose of light malt and some hops. Mouthfeel light, and flavor contains citrus. Drinkable enough but pretty ordinary.

Nice aroma with a hint of fruit notes. Very pretty beer with moderate lacing. The taste has a lemon zest to it but sit’s onthe tounge a little oddly. It happens’ to quick for me to know what the tastes are. Over all it’s a good representation of a wheat but nothing that’s special about it. I’m not enough of a wheat drinker to buy it again.

Smells a little of wheat. Taste is mostly what you’d expect - a little bite and plenty of wheat. Avg. per style.

12oz bottle notched BB Jan. Poured a medium and slightly hazy golden color wtih a smaller sized white head. Some small floaters. Subdued aromas of citrus, yeast, and wheat. Tastes of the same (citrus, yeast, and wheat). Light tart finish. Thinner body.

12 oz. bottle via trade with IrishBoy - Pours a slightly hazey light golden color with a small white head. Has a light yeast aroma. Has a sweet light malt flavor with some light esters. Thin palate. Light to medium body. Wortha try. Thanks Richard.

Bottle; Nose showed some yeastand a tiny bit of citrus; light amber with only a tiny bit of haziness and not much of a head; weak maltiness in the flavor finishing with a little tartness.

12 oz. bottle. Poured a slightly cloudy yellow gold with a moderate head that lasted through most of the glass. Very light indistinct aroma. The flavor was weak as well with some citrus and yeast flavors coming through. Virtually no hops flavor. Very watery body. In a word, this beer was BORING.
