Commercial Description:
Workhorse Wheat is an American-style hefeweizen (literally, yeast-wheat) ale made with Idaho barley and wheat. It is pale in color and light in body, smooth and easy drinking with just a hint of tartness from the wheat. Because is it not filtered, our workhorse wheat is slightly hazy with yeast, rich in B vitamins and other good things.

Lemon, ice tea smell and aftertaste. This beer was a darker yellow haze and you couldn’t see through it. Not much of a head to it. Gotta love unfiltered wheat beers. It was very smooth and tasty. Grand Teton makes good beers and this is definitely no exception.

Bottle Pours a light cloudy amber. A nice foamy head that quickly settles to a thin white film that sticks around. Smell is a very pleasant wheat, slightly sweet and a bit hoppy. Taste is a mild wheat, bread-like, easy on the hopps Finishes quickly and easily with a little hoppy bitterness lingering. Quite easy going down. Refreshing and light but has a good mouth feel like a Hef.

Bottle: Courtesy of Indiana_Red via trade. Aroma is wheat, moderate orange, and lemon. Pours a golden-orange with a touch of haze and a small white head. Lightly sweet up front with some orange peel coming in the middle. Finishes very nice with lemon, spice, and very light hops. This is a very good American Wheat.

Bright hazy yellow/orange color, a light very sticky looking white head with tons of lacing and moderate carbonation. The aroma has a slight musky wheat note along with some faint hops and a little citrusy. The flavor is fresh with some buttermilk malt flavor along with a rounded wheat mouthfeel and a well balanced hoppy finish. The aftertaste holds some wheat notes as well. This is the classic american wheat beer, fairly mild and straight forward. Good relaxing drink for the upcoming summer.

10.01.05 GABF Hazed, light amber. Hoppy and lemon nose is surprising. Hoppy flavor for a wheat. Lots of citrus, very refreshing. Palate cleanser. Pretty nice stuff that I went back to multiple times.

Hazy light amber colour. Slightly wheaty, sweaty aroma. Crisp hops, doughy malts in the palate. Has kolsch-like moments, but they don’t hold up over the bottle. Light wheaty acidity in the finish. Slight fruitiness (salmonberry). Not bad.

Pours gold with a white frothy head and medium lacing. Malt and hops blend awkwardly with an almost soapy aroma. Day old citrus as well. Flavor is surprising. Very creamy malts. Hops back this up very well. Very light, citrus rolls on the tongue followed by an airy texture. Wheat is prominent. The finish is again fluffy wheat. Very nice

Very solid wheat beer, somewhat grainy and citrusy, but well-balanced. Good solid everyday wheat.
