Tap at Toronto location. Pours a very light gold with a thin white head. Aroma is earthy, light crackery notes, light fruits and surprisingly almost no butter anywhere. Flavor is crackerylightly doughy, floral somewhat fresh hops and some toast with a light bitterness in the end. Pretty nice- and easy drinking.

Draught @ Henry House. Clear golden with half-inch white head. Bright ringwood aroma and freshly baked sourdough bread, baked orchard fruits, and gingerbread. Gorgeously quaffable mouthfeel. Balanced flavors with bready character, some gingerbread, and delectable pastry. Apples. Butter tart ending in brisk hop. Gorgeous authenticity. Sublime quaffability. Amazing complexity out of a session ale. I love this brewery.

Objectively speaking: A competent take on the English golden ales without the modern (and highly pleasant) zesty tang.
I like: Decently aromatic for your typical brewpub blonde. Pleasantly extracted soft hay-like cerealic notions to the 2-rows malts.
I dislike: Fraily floral hops. Timid hoppiness where a citrusy or zesty bite would have gathered some serious attention, because 2-rows on its own just gets boring.

on tap at the brewery (toronto). served a slightly hazy golden. grainy aromas. you can tell this is unfiltered. flavour are more grain and slight earthy hoppiness. finish is dry and pleasent. enjoyable but forgetable.

Draught at the Granite brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a small diminishing white head. Mild aroma of light grain, light hops and sweet malt. Slightly watery flavour of grain, light Fuggle hops and some fruit. Light bitter finish. Average bodied. Nothing special and a bit dull really but it’s still a decent Golden Ale and easily quaffable.

Pours hazy golden with notes of fruit malt. The palate shows the fruit as well and you get some light hints of malt on the finish.

Cask pint at the Henry House in Halifax, NS (May 2007). Bright faintly hazy apricot with no head, but a bit of lacing as it disappears in the glass...lightly nutty, oaky and vinous aroma, perhaps a bit of apple and grape....slightly fruity and woody body, tart and sour/bready towards midpalate, drying out quite a bit to finish....full body, low natural carbonation....overall this is rather dull, but certainly drinkable; perhaps I was suffering palate fatigue at this point too -- probably should be drunk early in the night as it’s pretty mild.
