Served in a brandy snifter, the beer is a hazy deep peach color, with an inch of thick soft white foam. Good head retention, sparse spotty lacing. Sweet and complex aroma, full of honey and white wine. You could even say it smelled mead-like. The aroma actually reminded me a lot of my favorite white wine - Caymus Conundrum. Very smooth beer, full and on the sweet side up front, with lots and lots of honeymalt, a little wheat, and just a touch of mild citrus. The finish is dry and tangy, and just oozing with rye combined with a bit of earthy spice. Moderately carbonated, smooth mouthfeel, and deceptively potent.

Gitchee Gumee Brewfest 2005. A nice hazy amber pour, with nice soupy head. Strong orange aromas. Flavors were rich and spicy, with simmered fruit and christmas potpourri. This beer has good complexity and character.
