Dark reddish brown with absolutely no head. Served very cold. No aroma to speak of. The flavor was very subdued with notes of sweet malt and hints of coffee and dark chocolate. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. I don’t think they did a good job with the pour and it was served too cold, but overall not bad.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 3, 2007 On tap via growler, Fargo. Dark amber colour, sweet malt aroma with some ammonia. Thinner texture than expected, a bit watery for my liking, certainly drinkable but could use more oomph! BDR (2170), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 4, 2007 Reddish brown in color, raisins and caramel aroma. Malty but mostly light, mild fruit flavor with hints of wood and metal. Rather empty but not unsatisfying. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Pours a very dark reddish brown, a lot darker than you would expect a maibock to be. About an inch of head that dissolves rather quickly. Fair amount of lace throughout the mug.
A little bit of a malty aroma, but not much. Solid caramel malt flavor without very much hops. Not quite full-bodied, but still pretty good. Softly carbonated and smooth drinking. theisti (1693), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 10, 2007 Tap at No. KC brewpub. Its mentioned elsewhere, but this was served WAY too cold. They even ice down their pint glasses, so the glass and the beer freeze out all initial aroma and flavor. Once it warms, a bit of roasted malt in there, but not much else. After taste was not good, almost dirty sockish.
