Aroma of lightly sweet toasty caramel malt and a hint of doughy yeast and some graininess. Starts with decent fullness and a touch of light fruits and grainy caramel before a drier toasty finish. A decent maibock. Cornfield (4957), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 23, 2007 From the tap this pours a clear amber body with a dinkus off-white head. It’s got an aroma of caramel , grain, and a mild earthiness. Flavors much the same, but its sweetness seems unchecked. A bit watery, too.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 4, 2009 Omaha. Light copper to bronze in color. Smaller off-white head. Toasted malt, earth, caramel and touch of fruit in the aroma. Not a clean lager scent. Flavors start with some sweet malt, then turn a bit grainy and fruity. Seems more like a strong amber. | 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Draught sample at the St Louis Park MN location, RBSG Minneapolis weekend, June 23 2007. Clear caramel color with just a bit of quick-dying foam....minimal aroma, faint old grains, caramel, and a bit of vegetables....old stale caramel candies float in thin barely-flavored vegetable gruel, ancient grassy hops and wet cardboard don’t really add to the fun....a watery, unpalatable mess.
