piscator34 (1121), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Nov 1, 2009 On draft at the Fargo location. Amber in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas are of white grapefuit, dried leaves, pine, pale malts, and a hint of diacetyl. More general citrus fruit in the mouth, along with both pale and caramel malts. Quite dry and light bodied, with some lingering mineral bitterness. Not really in IPA by typical US micro standards, but a servicable as a pale ale. It was hoppier and drier than I expected from a chain brewpub. JPDIPSO (4863), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Oct 21, 2009 Omaha. Copper color with a small off-white head. Citric hops and bit of caramel malt in the nose. Flavors start with a bit of malt and brown sugar. Middle has some pine and grapefruit. A touch earthy. Finish and linger are earthy and slightly bitter. weitz15 (67), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA Oct 15, 2009 Average IPA. Had this at Granite city in FW, IN. Not as hoppy as most IPAs, but a decent full flavor. Rciesla (3500), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Oct 13, 2009 Draft in MO. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Hints of pine, honey, light metallic resinous floral hops. Pine, musk, and dry hop resins. Decent ipa. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Oct 4, 2009 On tap at the Mishawaka location: Pours a transparent dark bronze orange with a stringy-lacing white head. Aroma of fresh juicy grapefruity hops with a touch of pale malt. Body starts with average fullness and light sweetness along with a drier, grassy citric hop bite before a drier more bitter finish. Needs a little more malty sweetness. JaBier (1130), Capital City, Ohio, USA Sep 27, 2009 Growler sample. Pours clear amber with a medium beige head. Malty aroma with some hop. Mostly malt flavor with some earthy hops on the back end. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Sep 19, 2009 Tap. Dark orange \ amber color. Nice white head. Distant presence of cascade hops, maybe some fuggles. Earthy. Nice flavor of crystal malts, some citrus and pine hops. It is better than the others from Granite City. Dogbrick (2813), Columbus, Ohio, USA Sep 10, 2009 Sample at the Day Before Labor Day party, from a growler. This beer is a cloudy dark orange color with a thin off-white head that diminishes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Mild hops aroma with notes of pine. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops flavor with notes of pine and citrus. Very little malt balance. The finish is hoppy with a short bitter aftertaste. Just average overall.
