The foam dies down quickly to just a ring, but this ring leaves a little lace behind as I drain the glass sip by sip.
I detect no aroma at all. Not from the growler. Not from the glass. Several sips into the beer, still no aroma. The taste is OK, but overall uninspiring. Mild, straight-forward hop bitterness, but no hop character. No maltiness to speak of. It is balanced, but thin in flavor and body. A bit more hops detectable in the aftertaste.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 10, 2007 Tap at No. KC brewpub. I asked for this one in a normal pint glass (rather than iced down), which they were happy to do. Straight forward IPA, though tasted to be pretty well made. Big hop aroma and taste, citrus / slight earth finish. Standard, but tasty. tjthresh (1778), Greenfield, Indiana, USA

There are slight flavors of grapefruit and hints of pine in the aroma, but for the most part this tastes like standard fare British bitter, a bit bready and fruity. No complexity of flavor and no finish. (The food here sucked.) hellomynameis (794), Mayer, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 20, 2006 Orange amber colourwith a decent head. Not much for lingering around. Fresh citrus (grapefruit) aroma and some pine resin in the flavour. Not a whole lot of malt in the flavour, just some of that resin and grapefruit flavour with a fairly bitter flavour at the end. Pours a solid amber with a nose of strong floral hops and grapefruit. Flavor is solid grapefruit with pine and a floral finish. Spreads evenly and assertively on the tongue. Refreshing IPA. Definite repeat next time I’m in Wichita. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2006 A very typical IPA, all the typical flavors, with a little bit of a lighter texture and body, with some grapefruit and orange rind flavors, mixed iwth a bit of a doughy malt body. Finish, is in your face, and then slides away into nothing. GeneralGao (3057), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
