JK (2946), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Oct 1, 2007 A little cloudy. Not too bad on the flavor or aroma, citrus hop aroma, and mildly bitter hop flavor with malt sweetness in the flavor. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA Jan 15, 2007 Pours a hazy dark amber - almost brown - with a good inch of white head. The foam dies back after a minute to a thin foamy cap, which leaves nice lacing throughout the glass. Only mild hops in the aroma - probably served a bit too cold.
Pine and citrus hops dominate. This beer is all about the hop flavor. You know the malt is there, but it doesn’t come out. Medium body, softly carbonated, a little bit medicinal in the finish. A strong grapefruit flavor in the aftertaste is splendid.
robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Apr 12, 2005 Amber Coloring. Very Hoppy Aroma...Goes Between Sweet and Dry. Solid Malt Background But Hop Heads Will Not Be Disappointed, for There’s Plenty to go Around. Sweet and Dry Ending. Not as Complex as I Was Hoping CharlesDarwin (1823), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA Apr 10, 2005 Gitchee Gumee Brewfest 2005. A clear amber pour, lacking much head. Real interesting beer. While it has all these hops, I’m not overwhelmed. They seemed tamped into the malty background and a little watered down. Finishes with a burnt note.
