The best beer they make. Very malty with a good body. Very smooth beer. Lightly hopped. The malt comes through with little sweetness.

Pours a clear copper, topped by an inch of nearly white foam. Good head retention and lacing throughout the big mug-club glass (this style of beer deserves a big mug). Mild caramel malty aroma. Nice and malty Oktoberfest beer, with caramel and toasted malt. The first couple sips provided a very mild peat-smoke character that, while not true to style, was still delicious. A touch of hops for balance in the finish. Medium bodied, very clean and smooth.

Tap. Clear amber color. Light aroma has a welcoming aroma of malts. Smells like a vienna. A nice toast flavor, mostly malt flavors. Good. A bit of spice. Mild. Easy to swallow.

Nice amber color, nice aroma, not too strong. Malty flavor, medium mouthfeel and a nice smooth finish. One of Granite City’s best seasonal beers.

draft at Ft Wayne brewpub - Pours orange-amber with a one finger head. It has a mild aroma of caramel malt. The flavor is the expect malty sweetness with minimal hops presence. It’s medium bodied and goes down smoothly. There’s nothing special here, but it’s really not a bad beer. Good session brew.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent very softly carbonated copper brown colored body. The very mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start with a mild vienna malt note and mediumly tingly at the finish with a lingering aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of mild hops semi sweet caramel malts and vienna malt. The best beer so far from GC that I have had.

Draft at GCF&B Fort Wayne, IN. Small tan head with good retention, transparent body with a reddish-orange hue, no visible carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma was that of munich, vienna and crystal malts and semi-sweet. The flavor mimicked the aroma with some hops. The mouthfeel was clean and smooth and this is a medium bodied beer. An easy to drink beer and while not the best of this style that I have had, it would be a decent session beer and one that I would drink again.

Some malt in this beer, a little bit acidic. Proper orange color, moderate carbonation. Lots of bread and very dry malt. An ok Oktoberfest.
