brown clear color, off white bubbles ring rim. aroma is mostly air. flavor was kinda muddy, maybe these two beers shouldn’t be mixed together. light bodied, weird bitter finish. i am not at all sure what possessed the brewer to mix these particular two brews together. perhaps it was a tragic accident like when that guy got peanut butter in my chocolate. i believe it is called "the reeses syndrome". i asked the bartender about it, and he said "we sell a lot of it". that is a good enough explanation for me.

On tap at Rockford, IL.Granite City. This is a 60/40 mix of their Northern Lights and their bock beer. Pours an amber color with a small off white head. Aroma of corn and faint hint of malt. Taste is pretty much the same with a little caramel thrown in. Not bad but rather bland and uninspring.

On tap at Granite City in Orland Park. Pours light brown with tan head. Basically a watered down version of their Bock beer. Aroma is roasted malt and caramel. Flavor is on light side with caramel and malt. Nothing speacial but was drinkable.

Draught from GC in East Peoria, IL. This one tastes and smells mostly of the light lager (I assume thats how is tastes because I never actually sampled the light lager on its own). Anyway, its a light beer that smells lightly of malt and corn. Refreshing and interesting, but nowhere near a great beer. Fun and unique.

I hate rating this one a s brew since any yahoo can pull two different taps handles, combine two different beers and call them a new beer. I think it BS but its ratable so...This draft brew from a restaurant that calls itself a brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a transparent golden brown colored very softly carbonated body and a fair lacing. The aroma was a mild almost non-existent malty one. The mouth feel was thin and watery. The flavor was mild with sweet malty soft hop notes. Another Granite City brew to pass on.

On tap at Rockford Granite City. When one thinks of specialty brews, the first thing that immediately comes to mind is a beer made by pulling the levers of two crappy beers. So that’s why Two Pull is on the top of everyone’s must try list! Ok, all BS aside, this beer isn’t very good. It’s amber with no head. Aroma is of light corn and a hint of caramel. The body is devoid of flavor, save corn and some burnt malt. The beer is a little too carbonated.

Draft at Fort Wayne, IN location. Small white head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, very little carbonation when served, transparent, and an orange hue. The aroma was malt and some corn notes. The flavor was malt, some corn and a hint of hops. Smooth mouthfeel. Definitely not a beer to get at all excited about because there’s not anything to it to get excited about. Lacks character not to mention flavor. Bland, boring and very easy to forget. Next!

tap - Wickster nailed this one already. It’s a mix of a poor beer and a mediocre one. The result is of course somewhere in between. The bock definitely carries the flavor as their Northern Light is far too mild to contribute much. This brew is sweet, light bodied, and easily downed. Note: in my experience this beer was not blended by the brewers. The bartender just pulled two tap handles.
