Commercial Description:
Our Belgian Wit is a lightly hopped unfiltered wheat beer fermented with a unique Belgian yeast and named for its cloudy, nearly white appearance. This unique witbier is spiced with coriander and exotic curacoa orange to create a refreshing yet flavorful ale. Enjoy our Belgian Wit as the perfect accompaniment to warm weather and all that is great about Vancouver.

This was definitely the best thing on tap. This is quite nice, a good example of the style. Lots of coriander in the nose with a slight hint of dried mustard seed. Very fresh, with great yeasty esthers, a slight bit of clove spice and fresh off the vine bananas. A truly refreshing summer beer.

Gold with a white head. Aroma is light wheat, malt and light fruit. Taste is light mild malts with wheat and light grapefruit.

Pours a cloudy dull gold with a thin but lasting head with some lacing. Lemon-fresh aroma, a bit like a cleaning agent. Taste is refreshing and light, a bit watery. Some coriander but not much, more like a very watery Hefeweizen than a good wit. Thin, slightly creamy body with passable carbonation. I can’t honestly taste a huge difference between this and their Robson Street Hefeweizen, but I am glad to see Granville Island embracing the Belgian styles. Quaffable but bland, ultimately.

A refreshingly light summer beer that has a subtle body to back it up. A fruity body combines with an excellent yellow cloudy presentation to make for a truly refreshing beer that almost demands a patio to drink it on.
