bottle - clear amber beer with almost no foam. Some strange wood aroma. Flavour like cloth and some nuts.

A malty aroma with a hint of strained grain. This is fairly decent. Not funky, just a bit uninspired. Not real malty but decent enough.

Golden orange coloured, classic amber ale nose with caramel nuances. Tastes a little nutty, mild caramel. Another typically safe, but enjoyable beer from Granville.

Cask@Granville Island Brewery Taproom, Vancouver. Dark amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is lightly smokey and the flavour is lightly smokey and malty. Overall a nice roasted, malty and smokey beer.

Bottle. Poured a clear dark orange color with a thin off white head. Smelled of dark fruit, toffee, and brown sugar. Light to medium bodied, crisp, and delicately sweet. Brown sugar was the most prominent flavor, but there were also caramel and cola notes.

I used to think this was a fairly workable pour when I was in University. Had a bottle for nostalgia purposes recently, and was surprised how out-of-balance this beer is. Caramel sweetness is too prominent, and fruitiness overpowers any hop flavour.

Blankboys bottle, shared with HogTownHarry and I. Appearance: Light red, whispy head. Aroma: Diacetyl, like a bowl of buttered popcorn. Flavour: Watery sweet, some malt.

[Bottled. Thx rickgordon] Dark amber with a brief head. Very sweet and malty with a lot of toffee. Fruity in flavour. A bit too sweet and a bit thin.
