tupalev (2299), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 8, 2008 Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Garthicus, and Blankboy, courtesy of Harry. Mild grainy aroma. Nice hazy yellow, small head. Great taste - grapefruit hops, nice medium carbonated body. Solid straightforward IPA, I liked it.
Enniskillen (1554), Port Angeles, Washington, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle from taphouse. Amber with a nice white head. Aroma is piney with floral hops and light honey. Taste is lightly hoppy, floral with light fruit and citrus. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 9, 2008 Draught at the taproom, 5.8% ABV Blond color. It has a very light aroma of good hops, a bit citrusy. It has a good caramel flavor, quite dry mouthfeel, very bitter with some hop oils. Balanced. Enjoyable. BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA Jul 16, 2008 2008 - I was extremely disappointed with this one. Pours a golden amber color with a small white head. The bartebder highly recommended this, so I bought a bottle because it was not on tap. Light almoist faint resiny and citrus hops in the nose, but almost nondescript. The maltiness does not blend very well with the hoppiness. This beer does not play well on the palate at all. Grainy maltiness, with dry bitter hops in the finish. Average. DuffMan (1942), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jul 9, 2008 sampled on tap at the brewpub, and from the bomber bottles I brought back to share with Parksy. A very nice little IPA, with a citrus and resin hop profile on a soft malt base, moderately bitter finish. Not aggressive in any way, so the true hop-o-philes may be disappointed, but I thought this was a decent IPA. blankboy (2570), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 10, 2008 Bottle (660ml) shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev & garthicus -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy orange with an average size diminishing white head. Pleasant and simple aroma of grassy hops and fruit. Flavour of caramel malt, citrusy & grassy hops, fruit, alcohol and a light, slightly astringent bitter finish. Average bodied. Not bad at all, an O.K. IPA.
