Commercial Description:
A traditional blend of English Pale Ale and Bitter Stout, brewed separately but, fermented together for extraordinary smoothness and unique flavor. The Black and Tan is a full bodied ale generously hopped. Our classic brewing technique adds to the rich color and creamy head of this old world ale.

Small, offwhite head. Dark ruby red color. Full mouthfeel with a nice malty taste. Not much smell other than a little caramel.

caramel hops and [coffie] in the nose. Dark almost dark brown going black towards the top. Large bubbles in the head, brown/tan in colour. Small carbonation bubbles moving quickly from the bottom of glass. Mostly coffie in the taste, some bitterness, mostly in the coffie direction.

Ok, to me something about a "Black and Tan" in a bottle doesn't seem right at all, but I got it in a grab bag, so I am trying it. Not bad. One of the better bottled B&T's I have tried. Actually taste more like a coffee stout then a B&T, but good anyway.

Ok this is good and to me tastes like a real black and tan. I miss the color scheme. A black and tan really evens itself out and you get to good flavors bounceing off instead of blocking out the other. Good beer but not my favorite style of brew.

Medium brown color with an off-white short-lived head. Complex aroma of roasted and caramel malts blended with English hops. Thin palate with some carbonation deep within. Flavor is light, smooth and mellow, but nothing too exciting. A decently unique brew, but it's a bit too watery.

Kind of a brownish red, with a thick creamy head. Good malt smell. Fairly simple malt taste. A little watery.
