Medium bodied sandy chocolate malt. Roasty, with a mild touch of amber malt underneath. Semi-thin, not a thick milkshake porter by any means. guyinchicago (526), marengo, Illinois, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 13, 2009 This porter is more opaque mahogany than the typical stout like appearance. A very small tan head. Aroma is malty with a bit of roasted nuts and some fruit. Is this really a porter? Flavor is caramel, sugar, and fruit. There is just a bit of spice. Are we sure this isn’t a brown ale? As a brown ale it is a pretty good beer but as a porter it falls well short. vyvvy (2043), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 25, 2009 Pours dark copper and reddish with a tan head. Quite light for a porter. The aroma has nice dark rich malt, milk chocolate, vanilla and cream. The aroma did not get reflected in the taste though. Medium body that’s quite light with prickly sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with very thin cocoa, some green apple tartness and phenolic spice. The finish has spice and really doesn’t seem true-to-style at all. Bockyhorsey (2528), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 14, 2009 12oz bottle my niece brought for me to a family gathering. Over carbinated sweet aroma with some roast. Dark brown body with off white dirty head. Flavor had more carbination sweetness with some smoke and roasted nut flavor on finish. Still that sweetener lingered on the palate. alexanderj (2250), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 23, 2009 Bottle; poured a somewhat dark brown, but really not that much. Aroma was pretty light; a light roasted and coffee mix. Really not terrible tasting, but it really doesn’t come very close to the style. Caramel with a light roasted presence; some sweetness, but it tasted like it was there unintentionally. Headbanger (1586), Aurora, Illinois, USA

Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, slight chocolate, and sweetness. Taste of the same with a bit of hops and slight tartness. This light to medium bodied beer is not bad but does not fit a Porter in any way shape or form. heemer77 (4303), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 23, 2009 Bottle. Deep brown with some copper while held to light. The head us thin and light tan colored. The aroma has some light milk chocolate and leather. There is also some old rotting apple. The taste has some strange stale caramel and nasty leather. There is also some cocoa in the finish, but the off flavors blow it away. Plastic? Nasty.
