Commercial Description:
Rich in color with a strong body and a very creamy texture, the Oatmeal Stout is a true beer lover's brew. The slight hop aroma distinguishes this stout from any other. The Oatmeal Stout is robust, full of body and flavor, and topped off with a creamy light brown head.

pours a dark blakc color w/ a very thin tan head some lacing. Smells like a standard stout coffee and roasted malts hints of grains and some carmels. Palate is highly carbonated ok coating a bit thin. Flavor is strongly lactic an odd bitter roasted taste.. almost an offensive after taste... not good.

12oz bottle from Duane. This poured a dark brown with red highlights and a fizzy off white head. There was some notes of typical stout aromas. The first taste was way too much carbonation. I warmed this a bit and the taste really evolved. I tastes coffee and bitter chocolate. The finish had a good bitter linger. I have learned an old lesson. You must serve beers at the proper Temp!

Fizzy body and barely translucent brown in color with dancing bubbles on the sides. Aroma is brown sugar, mocha latte, brownies and chocolate covered raspberries. Flavor is mellowed cold coffee and mildly sweetened dark chocolate. Fairly bland and lacking flavor accents. Body is a little thin, but I guess it’s adequate for a run-of-the-mill sweet stout. Too much carbonation. Finishes like powdered sugar off of a brownie that was born in a middle school cafeteria.

Possibly the best beer anywhere in the world. I really like oatmeal stouts, and this beer consistantly is an example of the way to make them right.

Bottle at jeffc666’s Birthday Gathering. Courtesy of ???. Dark brown to near black body with a small tan head. Nose is roasted malts with light grains/oatmela and light smoke notes. Taste is smokey with roasted malts light sweetness and a hint of hops. Body is slightly bitter with a medium carbonation feel and some smoothness. Finish is more roasted malt and cocoa. Not as bad as I was expecting.

Sampled at jeffc666’s gathering. Dark brown with a light brown head. Nice roasted malt aroma along with some chocolate. Taste is also of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee, kind of ho-hum. Body is disappointingly thin for an oatmeal stout.
