Commercial Description:
Rich in color with a strong body and a very creamy texture, the Oatmeal Stout is a true beer lover's brew. The slight hop aroma distinguishes this stout from any other. The Oatmeal Stout is robust, full of body and flavor, and topped off with a creamy light brown head.

12 oz. bottle: opaque violet with a brown milky - melted ice cream head. Strong roasted grain and grinded coffee bean aroma. Burnt chocolate, dark wheat Chex, and rye add depth to the already pleasant aromatics. Almost spritzy mouth feel, which is a little odd, but grows on me as it delivers the creamy chocolate, bitterly smooth coffee, and brown sugar coated oatmeal across my tongue. Dry roasted finish that is lacking any additional flavours, but does nudge me back for another sip, well done.

Dark in colour with a thin tan head that is long lasting. Sour malts in the nose with some alcohol and hops pulling through. The taste is smokey bitter malts. The body is bubbly.

Nice black body but a brief tan head. Unimpressive aroma and a fizzy mouthfeel with a weak coffee flavor. Disappointing.

A mild oatmeal stout, thinner body than most. Black with a reddish edge. Big sweet roasty nose when warming.

Nice dark color. Light brown head with strong smell of oats and malt. Seems a little green to me. Slightly syrupy, sweet taste. Would like more coffee or chocolate flavor. Fairly thin in body.

Dark, slightly reddish. Nice creamy mocha head. Nose is a bit roasty, definitely get good chocolate, nice promise. Roasty flavor, some chocolate character, bug doesn't finish with much heft or bite.

The color a soot-black with ruby high lights, the head is portly in size, creamy in consistency and the color a nice chocolate color the lace forms a fines covering for the glass. Nose is lightly toasted grains, hints of coffee, malt sweet with the start sweet and rich in malt, top is medium to full. Finish is mild to moderate in carbonation the hops personable, quite dry and long lasting, a quite nice stout, mild and pleasant to quaff.

Pitch black with a light tan head. Smells incredibly strong and rich... thick french roast coffee and licorice, and a small amount of hickory smoke flavor. Feels thick and oily, sludge basically... really impressing me. The oatmeal flavor is mild, not artificial and not transparent. It really tastes like it belongs in this stout. Syrupy and sweet finish rounds out a great sweet stout.
