Commercial Description:
Rich in color with a strong body and a very creamy texture, the Oatmeal Stout is a true beer lover's brew. The slight hop aroma distinguishes this stout from any other. The Oatmeal Stout is robust, full of body and flavor, and topped off with a creamy light brown head.

12oz bottle. Missing something. Attractive aroma, touch of hop perfume as well as some roasted and sweet grain smells. Nice smooth malt flavor, nice tongue coating oatiness, percievable roast charater. Strong chocolate malt character. Very good sweet stout. A touch overcarbonated.

Courtesy of someone cool who I forgot. The aroma is chocolate syrup, mild roasted malt and a very muted sharp accent that actually compliments the chocolate accent. The body is black and the head is mocha, but hardly gets formed before it starts to fade to a thin filmy wisp. The first sip reveals bitter roasted/burnt notes followed by chocolate and char. It does have a very smooth feel and cream like flavor accents. Pretty well made beer.

7-5-08 bottle share with lb4lb thanks to buckybeer
Black pour that initially poured 98% head and 2% actual beer. After about twenty minutes - it turned into a noraml looking beer. Smell is roasted sweet popcorn. Flavor is not great - some coffee in there and some malt but the palate just kills it. Overly carbonated and not something that is very easy for me to swallow because of the mouthfeel.

Bottle in trade from buckybeer. Thanks!
Pours black with ruby edges and a huge tan head. Smell is roasty malt and chocolate. Pretty nice smell. Taste is cardboard like malt, with a bit of dryness and is decent, but slightly overcarbonated even after sitting for an hour. Decent flavor overall, but not creamy like one would expect in a sweet stout. Average.

Brew pours a deep black opaque colour, with a thin tan head. Aroma is of coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malts. Full mouthfeel, creamy and flavors of Nestle hot chocolate, cofee, and maple syrup.

Pour is dark with medium tan head. Aroma is strong with burnt malt, light caramel, and oats. Flavor is also potent with roasted malts, a slight bitterness, oats, and a slight bit of honey. I liked this brew. Good solid stout. Would buy again.

Pours black with a tanned head. Sweet and a little bitter. Aromas of chocolate and hints of toasted coffee. Tiny nutty hint too. Coconut? Medium bodied. High carbonation. Chocolaty finish.
